Love,

let me be your break beat,
feel the rhythm, just boogie down
and move your feet
i’ll spoil you with kisses sweet,
leaving you breathless,
having trouble just tryin to speak
got me playin your memory
on repeat

you are the love song that i sing-a-long to
i long to
hold you close so i
whisper secrets to the wind
hoping that they would reach you in time
i’m pleading please to the gentle breeze that carries
my message through street corners, stop signs
and red lights ~ to console you on lonely nights
through countless blocks, until it softly knocks
on your windowsill.

tick tock the clock steady rocks
the relativity of time, the (real)ativity of ryhme

love expanding exponentially
possibly at a rate only god would know.
and maybe together you and i could live mathematically
perfect for each other, mad complimentary
so universal,
thoughts of you intersecting my mind like your essence is transversal.
perfection with no rehearsal
so maybe you could be
the variable that helps me solve this equation to unlock a golden reality.
a love poem for no one,
and tonight i feel i might just take flight
as this moonlight elevates me to the heavens
i’m grasping new heights.
ready to cross this great divide that separates us.
together we’d span infinity; nothing would ever break us.

i find myself standing / struggling to make sense / in the middle of it all / its a riddle / how things fall — apart / my whole soul / never just a part / i’m putting in for the love of this art / my hopes / infinitely endless / love how do i begin to express this / as i sit back flipping through pages / beginning to reminisce / memories on sweet on my lips like kisses luscious as molasses / the past is / kept in line with every verse every rhyme every line / found inside ink-stained pages / in them i gaze into the reflection of my being / what was misunderstood / i’m now seeing / learning to grasp reality / the deceit i’m looking past / now i’m free / able to see what is what was and what could BE.
